Church Planting Mission
Continuing the Mission of Multiplying Churches
The Nicene Network support churches and leaders with the tools, training, and funding needed to plant and multiply healthy, disciple-making congregations.
This vision is rooted in the legacy of New City Church Planting, founded by Clint Clifton in 2016 through the ministry of McLean Bible Church. What began as a church planting ministry in Washington, DC grew to serve planters and sending churches across the country—and around the world. Clint’s resources, training, and leadership helped launch dozens of churches and shape a movement of gospel multiplication.
Following Clint’s unexpected passing in 2023, the New City board remained committed to supporting planters. In November 2024, the board made the decision to close NCN and entrust Clint’s legacy to a new effort: the Nicene Network.
With a shared commitment to gospel-centered church planting, theological clarity, and equipping independent churches, the Nicene Network was formed to carry this mission forward. Church planting support will be one of several services offered—honoring Clint’s life and continuing the work he began.
